Resinous floors are created by combining thermosetting polymers to create a solid, hard, durable, attractive, chemically resistant and low maintenance floor coating for concrete and other floor substrates. Once used primarily for commercial and industrial purposes due to their durability, affordability and cleanliness… they have now become the new trend in residential custom flooring as well.
-
A properly installed resinous floor is safe, attractive, seamless, chemically resistant, impervious, cost effective and durable.

The specifics depend on what type of floor you choose and the square footage of the area you need coated. In general, however, as an example… a standard two car garage with an epoxy and polyaspartic hybrid, full coverage flake floor will take us a day and a half to install. The first day we arrive and use a 1400 pound industrial concrete floor grinder with diamond teeth to prep your floor and give it the appropriate profile to create both a mechanical and chemical bond. This is the most important step and is where many people who choose to acid etch floors go wrong. Without proper floor prep epoxy and other resins will not reliably bond to your floor creating a plethora of problems later on. Because we pay so much attention to this stage… we actually warranty the bond of our product to your floor.
After grinding the floor we take the time to patch any problematic cracks and imperfections on your floor that could cause a problem either aesthetically or functionally to your finished floor.
When this stage is completed we begin cleaning your floor to remove any dust and possible bond breakers before finally applying epoxy to your floor and broadcasting the flake of your choosing ( or creating the desired decorative effect if you have chosen a decorative metallic option etc). We then let the first coat of epoxy cure over night for a minimum of 8 hours before returning the next day to touch up the floor and apply our poly aspartic top coat.
-
Generally you can walk on your new floor in 24 hours after the topcoat has been applied. You can park your vehicle and expect a full return to service of your floor after 48 hours.
-
In short, we simply care more about your floor. We are meticulous, take great pride in our work and pay close attention to detail. We also only use professional grade products and equipment at great cost to ourselves and warranty our work.
-
The cost of your floor will depend on the amount of prep that your commercial floor requires and the materials/system that you choose. Give us a call today for a free estimate.
